At a concert Saturday night in San Antonio the venue posted big signs stating clearly no vaping products, pepper spray, or knives. Vaping products were first on the list and vape related warning signs also stood alone to encourage compliance with the ban of vape related items. Smoking sections were available, tobacco was okay, but vaping was not. Why? According to one of the venue workers it was impossible to know what was in the vape people may bring to use.
Having safe vaping products banned while cigarettes are not is sending the message to vapers attending future concerts; I guess I’ll just buy a “concert” pack of smokes to bring next time.

Flavor bans are wildly popular right now. Fear mounts from media and government generalized information, and the products most successful in battling the smoking addiction over the past decade are being lost in hysteria. It is causing many vapers to return to the hardest addiction to break, smoking.
Fear is also referred to as false evidence appearing real. Once we learn the reality of any situation fear naturally either subsides or increases. For those suddenly afraid of all vaping products, liquids, and potential outcomes the real facts will help calm the fear. Allow common sense to help generate rational responses truly protecting the public health.
Facts that must be understood by everyone is marijuana still has a thriving black market. TCH oil and Vitamin E Acetate oil look almost identical. Drug dealers are cutting (stretching) their marijuana oil cartridges. After cutting with dangerous levels of the E Acetate they are sold for drug profits in the illegal, underground drug business.
Cutting THC with high amounts of the E Acetate oil makes their illegal products go further is drug dealers are doing. There is no care about public health. These illegal cartridges are not sold in stores and vape shops. They are sought out or brought to unsuspecting prospects, often teens.

The products sold in specialized vape shops are thoroughly researched, FDA registered, with local store support. They are proven to be safely effective in helping people quit and stay off cigarettes. Flavors are a known key feature in helping people quit through safe vaping. It is disingenuous at best to suggest there is not enough scientific data, it is overwhelmingly in favor of vaping over smoking.
To aid in quitting the deadly cigarette habit there is no better method known. Safety is critically important to manufacturers and retailers who get to know their customers personally.
Selling products that are safe and effective while providing support and education has been the foundation of the vaping industry even before FDA, state, or local oversight, guidance, and regulation.
Buy safe, vape safe, and let’s tell our governing officials and media to focus on the black market targeting those chasing a high. Keep safe vaping available in vape shops, including flavors.
