A new article has been published in The American Journal of Public Health from Dr. Neal Benowitz, a professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and one of the world’s top experts on nicotine addiction; Dr. Robin Mermelstein, the director for the Institute of Health Research and Policy at the University of Illinois Chicago and chair of the FDA’s Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee; Dr. Nancy Rigotti, the founder and director of the Tobacco Research and Treatment Center at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, all led by Kenneth Warner, a professor emeritus of health management and policy at the University of Michigan and a distinguished tobacco control expert.
